Call it peach, salmon, orange, or apricot….this monochromatic color palette will bring elegance and sophistication to your wedding decor.
A monochromatic color palette uses just one color in different shades and intensity to create a harmonious and exciting color scheme. In this example, we went with peach. Check out this place setting if you want to see a version in green.
We love this setting for winter because the peach tones bring a nice warm glow to a party. We’ve chosen winter, in this case, because the background and predominant color used is a white-neutral. Had they used peach tablecloths and candles instead of white we would have pegged this a summer palette.
The best part of using a monochromatic scheme is that it takes the guesswork out of choosing a palette and works with any color.
It’s also a really good approach if you’re doing things yourself and don’t have a wedding planner.
Since you’re going with different shades and tones of the same color it makes it easier to find accessories, favors and decorations because you never need to worry about matching things exactly or that your items come from the same dye bath. You can shop around, find bargains, use items that you already have and borrow things from friends and family.
It’s the combination of all the different shades and tones that make a monochromatic color theme special.
