From Paris With Love

I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend of 4 years this fall with a surprise trip to Paris.

We will take a river cruise on the Seine to the Eiffel Tower and go to the top where I will propose to her. After we will have reservations for the restaurant at the Eiffel Tower.

The trip will be about 5 days and the rest will be spent sight seeing as neither of us have ever been to Paris before.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Being a proposal planner in Paris, with more than 1000 spectacular marriage proposals planned since 2006, I can only say that it's far better to propose while seeing the Eiffel Tower than being ON the Eiffel Tower... Too many men propose at the Eiffel Tower...

Be aware : every night, many people do their proposal at Eiffel tower. Some evenings, you'll end up with a huge lineup like an industrial proposal chain... ;-)

I think your idea is terrific!

My only suggestion is that if you go to the Eiffel Tower and eat at the Jules Verne Restaurant, they have their own elevator that takes you straight into the restaurant, so there's no need to wait in the sometimes extremely long lines to go to the top of the tower and then just ride back down.

Just start at Jules Verne - it is pricey, but is one of the most romantic places on earth.

Pulling out your engagement ring, proposing in that room, with that view, with that food, will guarantee an incredibly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The lesser priced (Le 58 Tour Eiffel)room is fine, just doesn't have the crazy dramatic views.

I might also suggest that after dinner you see the legendary Can Can show at the Crazy Horse Saloon - perfect way to end the perfect Paris night.
